Perfect Day Campaign

In the Name of Allah;
The One God, Who appeared in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad,
We forever give thanks and praise to Allah for raising up in our midst a Divine Leader, Teacher and Guide
In the Person of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.

(Please Read the article on “The Control”, prior to reading this)
In the Islamic tradition we are told that all of the articles or acts of faith are for the benefit of the individual believer not for Allah, with the exception of fasting. The Holy Quran states that Allah is self-sufficient slumber over takes him not nor sleep. The originator of the heavens and the earth was free of need of His creation because it proceeded forth from Him. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that a fast of at least three days would provide the faster with a spiritual elevation. I’m sure all Muslims notice the boost we all feel at the end of Ramadan our will is stronger, our habits are better, we are more conscious of our eating and drinking and this is intended to last for 11 months and be reinforced with monthly fasting of three consecutive days to keep the will of the believer strong. In the Bible Jesus says “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect”. In the Holy Quran it is stated that Allah gave us a ‘perfected favor’ in the form of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. We find however that although we are told that the restricted laws are our success we have minimized certain aspects of the Messenger’s teaching while continuing to avoid the big sins we allow more common weaknesses in as if we are simply to rely on the mercy of Allah. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad didn’t waste a word and to ignore any part of his teaching is a mistake of unimaginable proportions, for example we didn’t as Muslims go to the movies when the Messenger was present, now its common place to find believers in the movie theaters being programmed by the devils lasted imagination. What if we had been present when that devil shot up the movie theater in Colorado? I’m sure the last thing that would have gone through our minds other than the bullet would have been the Messenger said to stay away from these places. The scripture says “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” What if for one day we aspired to be perfect in our obedience? What if for one day we aspired to lower our gaze, avoid foolish talk, study our lessons, refuse to gossip, eat only one meal with no snacking, pray all five prayers, give charity, etc. We the believers of Temple #4 Washington DC are aspiring to have a perfect day on November 30th the day before we start the western Ramadan, we ask all those who wish to participate to do so and let’s see if we can go into Ramadan strong and finish even stronger. Maybe Allah out of His mercy will let one perfect day become two and two become a month and a month become a year and many years can become a perfect life. Remember the HEM said that fear, pain, grief and sorrow will stop here for us to show the world we are his chosen people. Let’s show our worthiness of his selection. May Allah grant us all a fruitful and blessed Ramadan. As Salaam Alaikum.
