What if your parents were fools
Baltimore, Md. – The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that justice is an equal and an opposite reaction. Meaning if we built this country for free justice is not an accommodations bill allowing us to use the toilet next to white people. Justice isn’t the right to vote when you are 12% of the population. Justice is for them to help us build our own country. With that definition of justice in mind, the bible says that the sins of the father’s shouldn’t be revisited upon the children. However, there are choices our parents make that we never escape during our lifetimes. There are parents who are smokers and smoke throughout their pregnancies, leading to serious birth defects. There are parents who are obese and have poor eating habits (like three square meals a day) and these behaviors are passed on to their unsuspecting obese children.
However, there is no decision that affects the lives of men and women more yet is challenged less than the religion of our forefathers. Most people go all their lives never thinking about the religious practices they inherited. Therefore, chances are if you were born in India you would have been a Hindu. If you were born in Arabia you would probably be a Moslem. And if you were born in an oven you might be a biscuit (smile). The bible says “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it”. The Qur’an counters and says ‘what if your parents were fools?’
Our people have been interfered with by an open enemy that came in between them and their true father, Allah and taught us a strange song. Four hundred years lost from our own required to sing a new song in a strange land. However, Our people whether Christian or what-not are losing religion all together choosing to submit instead to open rebellion. The Qur’an says “Know that this world’s life is only sport and play and gaiety and boasting among yourselves and a vying in the multiplication of wealth and children”.
Pharaoh has distracted our people with his wealth and we have become spoiled and arrogant. How else do you explain a people filled with so much pride and so little to be proud of? All of our rap music is boasting, and all of our praise is saved for the accumulation of material things. But pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.
After all even if you obtain wealth, what is there to be boastful of? The Caliph Ali is reported to have said;
“The world is but six things. It’s what you eat, drink, wear, smell, ride, or marry. And the highest thing you can eat is honey, and it’s vomit of bees. The highest thing you can drink is water, and all animals drink it anyway. The highest thing you can wear is silk, and it’s the excrement of worms. The highest thing you can smell is musk, and it’s the mucus of a gazelle. The highest thing you can ride is a horse, and people die upon it. And that which you derive pleasure from in marriage is the meeting place of where you urinate”
Challenge what you have been taught and if it doesn’t add up, then ask yourself, “what if your parents were fools?” Then get to your local Temple!
